This week seemed crazy busy, and then I remembered it was!!! Sunday, we got a dog. Monday was work then MMA then dinner. Tuesday it was work, dinner with some friends of my side of the family and then we went to a hockey game. Wednesday was work then in-laws for dinner. Then Thursday was work followed by a training session with Jerret and then dinner. Which brings us to today which was work, workout, dinner and cleaning out Braeden's closet. WHEW!!!! But let me get back to the dog. One of Brad's officer buddies was trying to get rid of a dog because they now have a 6 month old little girl and don't have a lot of time to play with him. Apparently he was chewing on a lot of their furniture, but other than that, was a great dog. He is 2 years old, a pound rescue, lazy (Brad's favorite part), neutered with a microchip and potty trained. They were told that he may be part American Bulldog and Boxer. We were advised to not leave him in the house unattended because he would tear everything up. Fine with us, we have a backyeard now. So, GREAT! We thought we'd give him trial run and see how it goes. Well, he peed in the house the first couple of nights, which was just freakin awesome. Finally, on Wednesday he remembered that outside is to be used for disposing of body fluids as well as solids. We haven't had ANY issues of him chewing on anything in the house. He did however, destroy a couple of toys that were left outside, but everything has now been picked up and been moved to the storage room. So we have decided to keep him!! Besides, Braeden would be heartbroken if his dog were to leave now!
Braeden and his dog Hank
Second event that happened this week that I got a couple of pictures of, was from the hockey game. We've gone a couple of times before, but it was before Braeden was born. We figured he's getting to the age where we can start taking him to live sporting events and he may actually stay interested for at least half of the game. So we decided to try hockey. We thought considering it's pretty fast paced and if we sit close to the glass, the players would probably get checked into it and Braeden would find it hilarious! We were right! We were late getting there and finally sat down at the beginning of the second period. In hockey, the periods are timed to last 20 minutes, but like football with 15 minutes, just because that's how long it should be, doesn't mean that's how long it will really last. We stayed for the 2nd period, which lasted like 45 minutes. It was cold in there and it was getting late and I was already exhausted at 9:30! Anyway, we'll be going back. Braeden kept saying he wanted to watch hockey on the computer and when I picked him up from daycare he asked if we could go watch the hockey game!
HOOKED!!
